What happened to those glorious days when I used to wake up at 6 in the morning to begin the most fun a kid could have on a saturday morning?

6 hour straight marathon of all new episodes of your favorite shows. It was like fuckin' christmas every weekend man. Back then you couldn't wait for the weekend so you could hurry up and catch that new episode. Now it's you can't wait for the weekend just so you can dread the weekday.

Man...I was just on youtube looking up the openings to all my favorite shows...funny how this all started. I was talking about coconuts and how much I hate them when I started saying 'COCONAUT!" in my head. x3 Coconaut is this cute little thing uhhhh Time Fairy from Flint Time Detective. From that point it spiraled into what I feel like the ass raping of todays youth.

>> Depriving them of such amazing shows like Flint Time Detective, Tama and Friends, The good Yu-gi-oh, The GOOD Pokemon, the old TMNT, Biker Mice from Mars, Street Sharks, Princess Guinevere and the Jewel Riders (yeah i watched it!!!) Dragonball Z, Dragonball, Samurai Pizza Cats... the list goes on.

Saturdays were used to aire new episodes. Now they're lucky if they get a good repeat on. OH man!!! I remember Mon Colie Knights!!! And Escaflowne!

I liked it better when they thought of kids as little people...not intellectually challenged idiots...
Back when they wanted to culture and teach kids instead of just getting them out of your hair.

I mean Spongebob is okay...but it's mindless. It's dumb. Same with all these 'teaching' shows. Like Dora. Yes I understand it helps kids learn...but do you think that kids haven't figured out the plan? They watch the show for entertainment...and because of that sometimes they don't make correlation's. I'm not saying they don't learn but the show does nothing a good sit down won't do.

Honestly...kids are not as stupid as people want to make them out to be. =/ The last good Cartoon that I actually REALLY liked...was Avatar. =/ It was a show for everyone...not just kids and that's what we need more of. Shows that don't try and take kids out of their parents hair but tries to take them on a journey, wisk them away and play with thier intellectual fancy.
